The Faculty of Medicine is located in the city of Mostar and is affiliated with a clinical hospital that provides the students with first-hand experience. The university hosts more than 11,000 students and is the largest university in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Mostar is situated on the Neretva river. The city’s name comes from the bridge keepers, called mostari who guarded Stari Most Bridge over the river in medieval times.
