Life as a Medical Student in Szeged, Hungary

Szeged is often called the “City of Sunshine” due to its pleasant weather. However, there are a couple of extra reasons people consider it a hot spot: paprika and witch trials. Szeged is the birthplace of paprika, and it remains a chief product of the city to this day. In contrast, witch-burning is a thing of the past, and it remains only as a source for local urban legends.
