The State University of Medicine and Pharmacy Nicolae Testemitanu (USMF) was established in 1945 and now is located in Moldova’s capital - Chisinau. It is a public higher education institution with more than 6,000 students coming from different parts of the world.

The State University of Medicine and Pharmacy Nicolae Testemitanu offers English-taught programmes in Medicine, Dentistry, and Pharmacy. It ranks as one of the most prestigious and well-known medical schools in Moldova.
The courses aim to prepare future physicians, able to practice on their own after graduation. The curriculum is structured to provide students with enough theoretical knowledge and practical skills. During their studies, students are obliged to take summer clerkships which will give them the necessary credit for graduation.
USMF also organises a foundation year which prepares students in the basic science subjects. Enrollment in this course is not obligatory but it is a good start to your education.

The preparatory course in English costs €2,000 one-time payment.
Each prospective student who has graduated from high school is eligible to apply here. USMF offers two options for their candidates - to apply with or without an entrance exam.
Applicants who wish to be enrolled without an entrance exam must take part in the preparatory course. After successfully finishing the course, they are admitted into the 1st year of study of their desired programme.
Applicants who prefer to sit the entrance exam must pass a test in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics in English at the secondary school level.

Basic utilities, including Internet and monthly transportation pass, will barely go over €100 monthly. Other expenses such as food and leisure time are all up to your living standards, but on average, they cost around €250/month.
