If you are looking for a medical university with ancient traditions and centuries of experience in education, Charles University is what you are searching for. It was established in 1348 which makes it one of the oldest and largest universities in the Czech Republic.
Today, the university has 17 faculties located in Pilsen, Hradec Kralove and, Prague. The main campus is in Prague but there are medical faculties in all of the three cities. The University’s third faculty of medicine is in Prague.

The MD degree course here costs around €11,750 per year.
To apply for this medical faculty you must sit for an exam in the subjects of Biology, Chemistry, and by your choice Physics or Mathematics. The test consists of 90 multiple choice questions with a maximum point of 90.
The university has several dormitory buildings in every city where faculties are located. The dorms consist of single and shared rooms with private bathrooms and furniture. The rooms are equipped with desks, beds, chairs, and heating systems.
You can freely use the shared areas like kitchens, study and leisure rooms, as well as laundry rooms. The rent can be paid upon your arrival in cash or by card at the reception.
The monthly rent for a room in the dormitory is around €150. The price includes the usage of all the facilities around the buildings and the utilities like electricity and water.

The classes for the winter semester begin on 29 September and last until 23 January. The exam session is held from the end of the classes until 21 February.
The summer semester starts on 22 February and ends on 05 June. It is followed by a 3-week examination period.
